Revisions in My Home Insurance Policy

We at Bajaj Allianz, continuously strive to provide our customers with utmost care with all our insurance products and services. We have launched a number of new insurance products and have revised many of the existing products to ensure that our customers are always protected and cared for.

With this mindset, we have recently revised My Home All Risk Insurance Policy. Here are some of the modifications made in the policy that will further strengthen the coverages provided with this home insurance policy:

A home insurance policy has the following coverages:

• We've made the coverage period under the policy more flexible. You can now choose a coverage term option from 1 day up to 5 years.
• With this upgraded policy, we have introduced an 'Emergency Expense Cover'. This cover allows you to claim the expenses incurred towards emergency purchase of food, clothing, medicines and similar daily essentials up to INR 20,000 in case a claim is admissible under the Building section of the policy.
• This enhanced insurance policy now also provides coverage to organizations who own some property, which is being used by their employees, partners or other corporate guests for residential purposes for few days or even when it remains vacant.
• The policy also introduces coverage for unoccupied homes. Now you can cover unoccupied or vacant premises/homes under My Home All Risk Insurance Policy.
• Along with coverage for contents offered previously, you can now additionally also cover:
  • Personal items such as medical devices (blood pressure machines, sugar-testing machines) and wearable devices such as fitness trackers, hearing aids and spectacles.
  • Also, Jewellery and other valuables can now be covered on full Sum Insured basis as well as Loss Limit basis.

These changes have been rolled out in the month of July and will be implemented from July 01, 2019 onwards.
